CoCo–The Dog On The Train

When I’m out with “Clicky” I am an incorrigible photographer. I will take a photo of nearly anything. It has become sport for me.

I enjoy being methodical in photography. I’m not methodical in anything else.

The shots are better when you think about what you’re doing. Of course that’s not always possible. I shoot a lot more objects than people, probably for this reason.

Sometimes you see something photogenic and have to act immediately. I have lost my sense of inhibition when asking if I can take a photo. That’s how the shots that accompany this posting came about.

I chose to stand as we began the trip back to Connecticut. I needed more than one seat because of my gear but there weren’t any doubles available. I stood in the vestibule a few feet away from two men. One carried a long rectangular bag with mesh openings at either end.

“Dog?” I asked.

It didn’t take long for CoCo’s bag to be unzipped. The quirky face of a pug popped out. I started shooting.
