Nice. I look out my window and see that Giant every day. Haven’t climbed it for a long time, (soooo out of shape and getting older)but I take my dog walking there often this time of year. He would happily scoot up to the castle, but the last time I checked I’m the boss here. (OK, so I am deluding myself, but still we won’t go any farther than we do!)
Nice photos Geoff! I love Sleeping Giant. One of my favorite places to take the family for some outdoor quality time and exercise.

This is simply beautiful! I love the Giant and have hiked it all my life. There is no better stress reliever, than meandering the trails and breathing in the beauty and positive energy of nature. Did you ever notice the dog carved into a castle stone? It’s at the top, as you approach. It looks like a side view of a German Shepherds head. I was told that while the castle was being constructed the supervisor was always barking orders. The workmen carved this stone as their own private joke. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I like the tale. Next time your there look for him – I’ve named him “King” myself – as he resides in stone – the fur-kid king of the castle. 🙂
