We live near a farm, orchards and just plain wilderness. One evening Helaine and I walked past a coyote standing between parked cars. I have taken Doppler for a late night walk and been freaked to see a skunk alongside some bushes. It all comes with the territory.
Last night as Doppler and I walked out the door, I saw tracks. They’re within a foot or two of our front door. They’re in our personal space.
Usually there would be no tracks to see, but this varmint must have walked through the mulch while the sprinklers were on.
So, what is it? I have no clue. Any help in IDing it will be appreciated.
Looks like a racoon print.

I have a varmint as well. A rotten squirrel seeking to nest in my attic. Got a trap, played music and its driving me bats. His prints are smaller than your varmint so maybe it’s a raccoon? Check the website. Good luck. I’ll be calling pest control asap
Or you could get a big cat….cheaper than a pest control guy.
I think it looks like a raccoon print.
Looks like Bigfoot to me….
Too small to be ‘bigfoot’. Compared to the size of the penny next to it…?
Was that a large penny?
Looks like raccoon to me too. Y’all have those out there? I imagine you probably do. They seem to be everywhere.
Maybe set up a camera outside and see if you can get pictures.
I agree with others, a raccoon http://www.princeboydhyatt.com
I apologize for my prior posting. It contained the wrong link (to a funeral home, to a friend’s obit). Unfortunately I did CTRL C, from the wrong URL.
My intent was to show a net link, to a racoon paw print http://wildwoodtracking.com/mammals/raccoon/index.html
I did notice that opposum’s have a similar paw print
