Norwegian Star Mexican Riviera/Pacific Ocean Cruise 2006

These "orbs," filled with disinfecting lotion (in what looked like a breast implant) were scattered at the entrance to nearly every public area on the Norwegian Star.

I was surprised to see this obviously organic "slick" float by the ship as we proceeded south. We were far from land. I know there's 'stuff' in the ocean, but the fact that this held together was what surprised me.

Deck 7. This is the part of the ship that is most reminiscent of old time ocean liners. Part of the walkway is teak. You are actually walking beneath the lifeboats, which hang from davits.

Surprisingly, the casino on board the Norwegian Star had modern high tech slot machines. Steffie thought this dog reminded her of our friends Rob & Amy's dog, Sydney.

A chef was giving a cooking demonstration when word got out there were dolphins off the port side! The room emptied out.
