New Haven Coliseum. The parking structure encompasses the building. What were they thinking? Didn't anyone look at a rendering before this was erected. As dysfunctional inside at it was ugly outside.

So a building named in honor of our VETERANS is "dysfunctional" and "ugly"? Shame on you! The VETERANS MEMORIAL Coliseum should not have been closed in the first place.

Nice spelling student1/princess isha/countryboy (obviously all the same person). You "pyssed" (another brilliant spelling) on a building named in honor of World War II Veterans? Another shame on you! And shame on Mayor Destefano for closing a viable sports and entertainment facility and turning away 350,000 annual visitors of the Coliseum!

Veterans Smeterans! Such a terrible structure shouldn't have been dedicated to our veterans anyway. It seems there were just too many things built poorly between the fifties and seventies in this state, that now we are forced to tear down and replace. The VETERANS MEMORIAL Coliseum was falling apart, and became a money drain. Can't New Haven do anything right? I say get the money to tear this sucker down...10 mil....good luck DeStefano....and put something up that will A) meet the needs of everything the people want it to do, and B) last longer than 30 years.
Will arena sports be successful in N.H.? No team has truly done well yet. Do we want a convention center?
Whatever is built on this site better work right this time, and then associate it with something as honorable as our veterans!

The Coliseum was a wonderful place and a great place for the community to gather, cheer, and feel community pride. Destefano is a jerk for closing the place and he will NOT win the Governors seat.
