Time Lapse Videos I've Shot
These time lapse videos were shot using a Canon Digital Rebel 300D. The shutter was controlled by a generic Chinese intervalometer. All these time lapse videos are natively available in resolution as large as 1080p in all digital formats.
Driving Home Late Night
As you will see with other entries farther down this page, tonight I was helped along by Jose Candelario. I knew I wanted to do this, but Jose told me to get bungees and then helped me use them to fix the camera's position on the passenger seat head rest of my car.
The time interval here is 3 seconds, which is the briefest pause between shots so far. When you're traveling at 60-70-80 mph, it actually needs to be lower!
This lapse has been stretched, with phantom frames being created by Vegas 8, my editing program.

West Facing Cumulus Clouds
The camera was on the Gorillapod, on the round, for this one. Unfortunately, powerlines get in the way. Otherwise, it's pretty nice.
These are four second exposures.

Overhead Cumulus Clouds
I'm mainly pleased with this time lapse. These exposures were taken at four second intervals. The camera was on my back deck, looking a little south of straight up.
The time lapse is slightly jerky. I'm not sure why? Maybe my shutter speed is too fast?

Stevens Avenue Overpass I-95 Time Lapse
Recorded on an I-95 overpass in West Haven, Connecticut, this time lapse was recorded f4 / .5 sec / iso 200 / 4 second interval. It was edited in Sony Vegas 8 Pro to 'stretch' it by a factor of two, adding derived tween frames.
I think this would look better with a longer shutter drag and more traffic than we found at midnight.
Thanks to Jose Candalario for his assistance in finding this location and shooting the images.
WTNH Studio Time Lapse
This was my first attempt at time lapse! The camera was in the studio, literally sitting atop a large monitor. It clicked away for 1:10 until I ran out of storage space on my memory card.
The best part is around 2/3 of the way through.

Really cool - I love the drive home.
