This morning, Helaine and Steffie drove to Wethersfield so Steffie could take her driver’s test. Unlike her father, the examiner didn’t yell at her, telling her she was going too fast around a corner. She passed with flying colors.
Steffie’s a very good driver, but without experience. She hasn’t quite learned how to multitask behind the wheel, nor should that be expected at this point. We’re going to let her get her feet wet a little at a time.
Having a driver’s license is not the same as having unlimited access to drive. I’m putting that here in case Steffie’s reading this.
Over the short term, it’s difficult to believe Helaine will have any easy moments while Steffie’s behind the wheel.
