The King of Disorganization

My flight leaves for Birmingham in four hours. I’m in pajamas. Most of my stuff is packed – not all of it.

Helaine and I had a friendly bet. I said I could fit all I needed for four days in a very small rolling bag. She owes me $500,000. That’s the good news. The bad news is, there had better be an iron in the hotel room.

Since I’ll be leaving from Tweed/New Haven Airport I can leave around an hour before flight time. There are no crowds. It’s a dream. Why more people don’t fly from there is beyond me.

I printed my boarding passes yesterday evening. I was surprised to be in Zone 3 for one flight and Zone 4 for the other. I have my seat, so that’s not a problem. It’s just the later you get on the plane, the less likely there is to be any overhead space left.

If there’s service, my next post comes from Cincinnati, where I’m changing planes. Otherwise, it’s on to Birmingham.

  1. Ah, yes. Northern Kentucky airport. (It’s not in Cincinnati, as a geographic enthusiast like Geoff would know.)

Geoff, I hope you don’t have to go to that little terminal that you take a tram to with all of the puddle jumpers and “obscure routes”.
