Disregard The Wishes

By now we’ve all heard about Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin’s tragic death. I wasn’t really a fan, but I knew who he was and understood the fascination some people had with his depictions of nature.

I also knew his last wish. It was the kind of thing said with bravado, but probably not with the thought that circumstances would make it possible.

From the London Daily Star:

“My number one rule is to keep that camera rolling. Even if it’s shaky or slightly out of focus, I don’t give a rip. “Even if a big old alligator is chewing me up I want to go down and go, ‘Crikey!’ just before I die. That would be the ultimate for me.”

You know this will be highly rated. It’s a temptation too hard to resist. I’m being a realist, though I wouldn’t want it on-the-air (or youtube.com).

This is not the end. So many more things are being taped every day. We are entering the ‘golden age’ of voyeurism.
