A Plug For Kevin

In the past I’ve written about my friend Kevin, diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this summer. What can I say? It’s a pretty devastating thing.

Kevin is amazing strong, both physically and mentally. He continues to undergo treatment (another round of chemo is in progress) and we continue to have hope. But, really, there’s no way to sugarcoat what’s going on in Kevin’s body.

His 16 year old daughter Marlene and sister-in-law Rachel will be running in the ING Marathon in Miami (Kevin works for ING) in January. They’re raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Research and are looking for sponsors.

Is it wrong for me to say I’d like you to help? Please click this link.

  1. I have donated to many cancer research organizations already, as I have lost several members of my family to that devastating disease. If there is anything I can do to specifically help Kevin’s family, please let me know. I assume you have my email, though it is not included in this post. I know how hard it can be for a family to go through this kind of life tragedy. The best of everything to you and those you love.

  2. Geoff–I’ve been reading Kevin’s blog since you first mentioned it. What an inspiration to this “old nurse”.. He is truly an amazing person as are his family members. I only wish I knew them all personally. This is a very worthy cause and since it’s the holidays and we tend to feel a little more “giving” at this time of the year, I think we, your “faithful blog readers” should jump in and send Kevin’s Team a little support. Regards, Evi
