Oatmeal Kits

I’m not going to enumerate each bit of prep she done, but I will give you one example. She’s left ‘oatmeal kits.’ Quite honestly, it’s very sweet and shows she cares.

PIC-0018Abandoned… I’ve been abandoned.

OK – not exactly. Helaine has taken a few days for a girl’s weekend in Vegas (baby) with my Cousin Melissa. This is living proof, showing just how difficult it must be to live with the Fox men!

Meanwhile, even two thousand miles away, Helaine has prepared the house as if she were still here.

I’m not going to enumerate each bit of prep she done, but I will give you one example. She’s left ‘oatmeal kits.’ Quite honestly, it’s very sweet and shows she cares.

Understanding my lack of kitchen savvy, Helaine measured out the exact amount of oatmeal I eat on a daily basis (not a standard serving) and packed that in daily zip lock bags. Pour in saucepan, add water, eat.

Even I can do that.

In this relationship, Helaine is the organized and methodical partner. She is the one who gets things done. My worth is still being sorted out.

  1. Pour in saucepan, add water, eat.

I believe “heat” would go in between “add water” and “eat.”

Personally, I’m more of a fan of “place in microwave, heat on high for 1 minute, enjoy”

  2. OK – we’ve already established I’m less than competent as a homemaker. Let’s not rub my nose in it.

I am permitted to measure water.
