Reading My Spam

When I have nothing to do, I often read my spam. Really… but I’ve got to be really bored.

This, from the Canadian Pharmacy:

Why is your product so cheap?

There is a number of reasons for that. We do not spend anything on marketing, there are no taxes to be paid as the product comes into the country unregistered, the manufacturer is located in an offshore zone and the production costs are way lower. No child labor is used.

Wow. I’m confident now. Why wouldn’t I want to send my credit card number to you?

Seriously, who buys into this stuff? We have enough trouble with legitimate products. Are there people this… uhhh… naive?

  1. You’d be surprised how many people actually do. I have a relative who has struggled with alcohol and an addiction to benzodiazepines for years. His primary sources for drugs are websites just like this. Half the stuff comes packaged either in boxes with foreign writing on it or just wrapped in plastic wrap. You’d have to be stupid or desperate to even consider putting that in your body. Anyway, he’s been clean for about a year now but these pharmacies must call him about three or four times a day in an attempt to get him to place an order. It’s all very sad indeed.
