A Summer’s Night in New Haven

It was warm and just humid enough to know we’re in summer.

Idyllic–that’s the way I’d characterize this weather. Today was beautiful and tonight didn’t disappoint either. It was warm and just humid enough to know we’re in summer.

I went to dinner by myself, taking the walk-of-shame to a table for one at the “Olive.” This photo, from my cellphone, is my fond remembrance of the evening.

If it wasn’t followed by fall, summer would be my favorite time of the year.

That’s how I feel about fall. I love the changing colors of the leaves, the smell of the air, the crisp mornings, what I refer to as “sweatshirt weather”….it just stinks that winter comes next.
