My parents have an 8:15 AM flight back home. We’re leaving early… early even for someone who isn’t awake and typing a blog entry at 1:27 AM.
It was a very nice trip. We got to spend lots of time together. Stef graduates college next year, so who knows when this fivesome will be easily reunited under this roof?
The good news is my parents are still healthy–still sharp. When it was time to print their boarding passes I told my dad I needed his reservation confirmation number, which he then recited from memory without hesitation. I’m 25 years younger than he is and I couldn’t do that.
We see them next when Helaine and I celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, late this fall.
