Tallulah–The Perfect House Guest

She is calm and measured. If she knows how to bark she’s probably saving it for some occasion more important than this trip to “Casa Zorro”

the-good-life.jpgIt’s good to be Tallulah. She sleeps. She eats. She goes to the bathroom lawn. She is constantly being observed and catered to as if we were the staff at a fine resort.

She likes to lay down and live the sedentary life.

Tracey sent me a text message last night. “Tallulah who?” I thumbed back. Maybe she believed me because she called Helaine this morning.

Much like Ivy was, Tallulah is not a licky dog–not overly and outwardly affectionate. Stef, her bedmate, said Tallulah growled softly as our trash was picked up around daybreak. That was her loudest sound.

She is calm and measured. If she knows how to bark she’s probably saving it for some occasion more important than this trip to “Casa Zorro.” So far, Tallulah is the perfect house guest. She has few demands while acting genuinely grateful when we go out of our way for her.

We might be forced to hide her, then make up some story when Tracey comes back Sunday.
