I shudder to think how many alerts my friend Farrell in Palm Springs has sent to his Blackberry. I know for sure one of them comes from a local TV station.

I’d be down on my knees praying for forgiveness, but a 3.2 is pretty puny in shaky California. I can’t imagine the locals will lose any sleep.

  1. A 3.2 is barely detectable…the blackberry would vibrate more, IMHO. We don’t usually notice much below a 4 around here. Last big bump that got our attention was more of an irritation, because they evacuated our work buildings whilst the safety folk waled through to see if anything fell down. Sum total of the damage–one loose ceiling tile over my desk gor a bit looser.
