The Day After It Snows

The day after it snows Connecticut is beautiful. There hasn’t been time for the piles at the side of the road to get brown. Everyone is still in a good mood. No cabin fever–yet.

I walked to the end of my street then turn right and walked a few hundred feet more. This is a mill pond fed by Jepps Brook which flows through a culvert under the road. The mill house is now a residence. I’ve shot more photos of this scene than anything else I’ve ever photographed. There is no time of year it isn’t spectacular.

  1. Call me crazy, but given your recent foray into the world of hiking… you and Helaine could be excellent candidates for a pair of snowshoes… or dare I say…. cross country skis????????????????????? It may make you hate winter less….
