Frustration By Design

I’ve learned a lot about CSS over the last few days, The O’Reilly CSS book is mostly, not always, closed now

I have been working on a new website. Much of the past two days has been spent at a keyboard… sighing. A lot of sighing.

The website I am designing seems to work OK, it just doesn’t look good. Functionality is not enough. Sizzle sells. I’m not sure what to do. I might be forced to start from scratch. It’s a consideration.

I’ve learned a lot about CSS over the last few days, The O’Reilly CSS book is mostly, not always, closed now. There are still things happening I don’t fully understand which makes troubleshooting troublesome.

There is a sense of accomplishment of building something on your own. I was never good with tools, but I suspect building something by hand with wood would be a similar experience.

The site itself needs to be edgier. Maybe I’m not the edgiest guy?
