The Stink About The Sink

The project is far enough along that no one bothers to knock before walking in any more.

“You’re not going to have a sink tonight.” That was the surprise delivered at 3:00 this afternoon. Nothing in construction ever goes 100% smoothly.

A cabinet that needs replacing holds up a sink that’s otherwise supported by the counter top. Take out the cabinet and -boom- we’d lose everything else. We’ll go sinkless.

Tomorrow the carpenters are joined by electricians finishing their piece of this puzzle.

The project is far enough along that no one bothers to knock before walking in any more.

Meanwhile a little before the sink news came word my right rear tire is flat! One of the carpenters found a nail in it. I’m hoping it’s not missing from his toolbox…. just kidding. I took Helaine’s car to work and will deal with the tire tomorrow.

Earlier I’d written how I’m beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Even with these setbacks I still see it. We’re getting closer. Our house will be ours again.

People will once again knock.
