The Photograph

We have never been “paparazzied” before. Strange. Flattering. How could you not be flattered?

Noah, Ann and I went to dinner tonight. Ted, who normally joins us was producing a story. We headed to Panera in North Haven.

We were mostly finished with dinner and solving the world’s problems when a young woman walked to the other side of the plate glass window, took out a cellphone camera and snapped our picture. She quickly darted away.

“Be right back,” I said and headed to the door. The girl and her friends were across the way in the parking lot at another chain restaurant.

“If you want a picture c’mon in and we’ll take one with you.” And so they did.

We had never been “paparazzied” before. Strange. Flattering. How could you not be flattered?

If you’re Madonna… if you’re Britney… if you’re really famous maybe this gets old. Not to us. Not to me.

  1. I can’t believe after all these years that this is the first time this has happened – I would think it would happen quite often!
