Oh techie friends. I am considering building a new system and was looking for a little input.
I’ve had a lot of luck with AMD processors and appreciate the lower price point. I will stick with that. I’m open nearly everywhere else.
Here are my early thoughts:
I’ll probably reuse my current SATA hard drive and IDE optical drives. I’m unsure about what to do for a case, though that seems reasonably unimportant. For the time being I’d run dual boot with Ubuntu and Windows 7.
I am looking for comments and suggestions. All will be appreciated.
I can’t punch a hole in any of those components.
I’m not a fan of AMD anymore…I’m strictly Intel, especially the Core 2 Duo…but since I haven’t tried the AMD I can only base this on personal preference and experience with the Core 2 Duo’s.
And you can never go wrong with an Asus motherboard. I also like Gigabyte and MSI.
I’m a Newegg shopper too…they’ve never let me down.
You should really consider the Intel line of 64-bit Core i7 processors. With the DDR3 memory your system will literally flyyy.
