Rain Means Back To Work In A Hurry

Connecticut has been soaked under buckets of rain. Along with the rain the wind gusted to tropical storm strength.

photo.jpgThis has been the strangest January of my adult life. I have hardly worked. Maybe after 25 years at one job I get more vacation than I can take? Nah.

Three of the last 21 calendar days is pretty close. No calendar at hand.

Much of the early part of my hiatus was spent getting Stef set up in California. Hardly a vacation!

Anyway, I’m back–and what I day to get back. Connecticut has been soaked under buckets of rain. Along with the rain the wind gusted to tropical storm strength.

Flooding? A little.

Power outages? Over 10,000.

Wind related problems. Yup.

So, how long do you think all my vacation’s accumulated relax time held me? Not long!

Alas, we all live in the moment. Days on the sofa are just a memory. Work comes at you quickly. No time to remember the rest you got.

  1. Mike – I’m doing some design work for friends and family, but I really need a day of concentrated PHP and it’s interaction with MySQL.
