What You Find When You Go Back In Time

There’s a lot of buried treasure within my 4,000+ entries… and a lot of crap.

Before reworking the blog I read an article about increasing a website’s traffic. There were some good suggestions which were implemented in the final design and a few of which you can see by turning to the right. Specifically I’m now highlighting older posts.

It seemed a gimmick–a good gimmick, but a gimmick nonetheless. The then blog went live.

I have become hooked on reading what I wrote on this date going back through the years. Some of it is insightful. Some of it was awful and proved to be dead wrong.

I wrote this gem on this day in 2004 with John Kerry way ahead in presidential polls and “Swift Boating” a phrase yet to be coined:

Here’s my prediction. When November comes around, the Republican ticket won’t be Bush/Cheney. The Vice President could find any number of reasons, from health on down, to graciously bow out.

Nice.

So, yeah, I want to increase my page reads but I also want to invite you to click on any headlines that look interesting. There’s a lot of buried treasure within my 4,000+ entries… and a lot of crap.

  1. Just remember Sturgeon’s Principle: 90% of EVERYTHING is crap.

It’s the remaining 10% that makes it all worthwhile…and you are doing much better than average…
