Feeling Good: Construction Cop

Before I could say anything he said, “I know. Thanks.”

On my way to work today I stopped for the outstretched arm of a police officer at a construction site. With only one lane open he was controlling the flow. He was also really tough to see–almost impossible. The Sun was directly behind him and low in the sky.

As he waved me to move forward I lowered my window to tell him to be careful because of the glare. Before I could say anything he said, “I know. Thanks.”

Obviously, I wasn’t the only one who had noticed!

It made me feel good to know others had stopped to tell him the same thing and make sure he was safe. Thanks.
