A Tiny Bit Of Sleet

The snow changed to sleet! Sleet is more dense and has greater survivability. We’re still a long way from accumulating here.

It’s been snowing lightly all afternoon. So far our accumulation is exactly zero. Not unexpected.

Things changed a few minutes ago. The snow changed to sleet! Sleet is more dense and has greater survivability. We’re still a long way from accumulating here. It’s very light.

This will be a small storm, but there to greet you in the morning.

  1. Starting to stick on the grass in Danbury and looks like it’s coming down hard, but still not really sticking on roads or driveways.

  2. Hey Geoff, I sure do miss seeing you everyday! Glad to follow you on FB.
We have a pretty 1/2′ in Wallingford. Nice and crisp out. I can wait for the warm weather, because once it’s here, it’s here to stay and then we’ll be complaining how hot it is! This has been nice! Hope to see you around!!

  3. No Snow in Enfield, Ct. Just flurries and some sleet. Just some slush on the cars. Been like this all day. I am sticking with your forecast. Little accumulation. I believe you will be dead on about this.

  4. Coming here for the forecast was better then any major network.

You were right on this one.

    Great work Geoff! Cheers!

  5. Geoff, who would you recommend watching for the most accurate, un-hyped local forecasts? I really rely on that and I’m lost now, casting around, except for Dr. Mel, but I need the evening forecast to prepare for the next day. (I keep hoping another local station will see the idiocy of Channel 8 and hire you!)…Thanks for any recommendations.
