I Plank At Work

Though I am sure I’ll live to regret this I was up for the challenge. Here is my feeble attempt (along with Dan’s).

Greg, our weekend floor director, came in with a photo of Dan Amarante “planking.” Though I am sure I’ll live to regret this I was up for the challenge. Here is my feeble attempt (along with Dan’s).

  1. Nice, but technically, not a plank. 🙂

    Per Wikipedia:

The lying down game (also known as planking,[1] or face downs) is an activity, popular in various parts of the world, consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. The hands must touch the sides of the body and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the Internet is an integral part of the game.[2] Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play.[2] The location should also be as public as possible, and as many people as possible should be involved.[3]

      1. I think the precariousness of the surface on which you are planking should outweigh the minor lack of adherence to the requirements. But then I’ve never seen anyone ‘plank’ before.

      2. Do a Google search on Indy 500 planking – one day this May when the practice session got rained out, the planking fad hit the Speedway. Some of the drivers got really creative. 🙂

        1. The Indy 500 was the first thing I thought of; I live in Speedway and it was all over the news showing the drivers doing that. One of them was doing that on the metal pipe railings in the stands. Ouch.

          Nice job Geoff!

  2. I had a horrible day. I just looked at this entry and laughed out loud. Thank God for “professionals” like Dan and yourself. Plank you, very much! 😀
