I was off work today. Rachel asked if she could swap to attend a wedding. Helaine and I took the opportunity to head to Mohegan Sun to play in a poker tournament.
I like going to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun because I like playing cards, I eat well and I get to see so many people who work there and know me.
You want me to lie? I love meeting people, saying hi, shaking hands. This is what I was born to do and I embrace it.
It used to be when people would say hello I’d sign something, How many people are going to keep a Geoff Fox autographed napkin?
Now I whip out my cellphone!
I think this works better. Snap. Email. It’s on its way before we part company!
Maybe I’m too much of a hugger?
Blogger’s note: I know the rules at the casinos. That’s why I always ask if they’d like a photo, never the other way around. I’m a big boy. I can tell when someone who meets me has watched for a long time. I’m just trying to be nice to people who’ve trusted me for years. – Geoff
Sounds good to me. There just can’t be too many hugs in the world.
I agree! people like you are needed in this world.
Impossible to be too much of a hugger!
I’m not an autograph hound either, I’d rather have a picture. Much more meaningful than a signature.
Photo over picture, yes. Hugs, always welcome.
That’s my friend Natalie!!!!
I hope she likes the picture!
I think that’s awesome of you, Geoff! Hugs/photos–priceless!
Geoff, last year we had a tiny bunny visiting our back yard…it kept coming back for about a month, and we had to watch out not to run over it or step on it before it would flee again. I have a 10X zoom on my digital camera and was able to take lots of pictures and some videos of it. Good thing, as none reappeared this year and they’re very rare here. Enjoy. Watch for it to return at dusk and be around in the early morning.
