I know there are a lot of people interested in the new tropical storm in the Atlantic, Katia. I’ve just taken a peak at the ECMWF and it looks like Katia will be an “outside runner” staying well offshore.
I’ll keep an eye on it, but don’t plan on writing about Katia on a daily basis unless the guidance changes.
and poor jose out in no mans land didnt even get a mention
Heard people making small talk about this at the garden center today. Irene sure changed things!
I have read what the guidance is saying, but so far it looks suspiciously like ’38.
Lets just hope the weather systems in the US and the steering winds keep it off shore. A prayer or too might help.
I really gotta watch what I type as I sit here with my generator going. Two I meant, not too, lol.
Just got my power back! yeah 🙂 I am not sure about Katia but it’s worth watching out for, especially with all of us being a little gun shy now.
I’m very glad to ‘hear’ you say that, Geoff.
As long as it stays away through next weekend.. We don’t want another year of rain at the North Haven Fair..
Geoff: NOAA better not be so fast in congratulating themselves. Although the guys at AccuWeather (your Channel 8 predecessor) say it’s likely to stay away, you’re just a building ridge away from a HUGE catastrophe…
