The World’s Cutest Dog

I caught her a few days ago on the bed. Her head was at the edge of the mattress. The rest of her body was flat. She looked like a baby seal.

Growing up Stef learned to avoid the camera. She learned from Helaine. Doppler hasn’t been schooled in camera avoidance yet. She will pose 24/7!

I caught her a few days ago on the bed. Her head was at the edge of the mattress. The rest of her body was flat. She looked like a baby seal.

My 70-200mm F/2.8 lens was on the camera. That meant I could be in the hallway so as not to disturb her. I got on my knees so I could shot from below her eyeline.

This particular shot is ISO 3200, 1/320 second, f/2.8 with the 70-200mm lens at 128mm. The EXIF file says Doppler and I were separated by around 30 feet. I don’t remember it being that far.

The photo is 100% made by Doppler.

  1. She is one LUCKY little lady and I bet her brother is just as loved. They will never have to face euthanasia like so many abandoned animals do. Some of the stories you see or read about will give you nightmares.

  2. As an amature photog I’m really impressed with your shots, my family too have avoided me taking pictures of them! Although last night, out with a group of friends, my camera was going crazy!

For pictures of my cats I also use a zoom lens which lets me capture them without them knowing about it…these are the best shots.

Doppler is so beautiful however looks abit “bored?”

  3. I’m a cat person, but I have to say that is the cutest pose. Doppler fits the description “man’s best friend” very well. I would almost want a dog like that.

  4. Excellent quality at ISO 3200. Obviously a very good camera with no noise at 3200. Doppler is very cute. 🙂
