Sun’s Out At The Mirage

There is no place like Las Vegas. I really love it here. That’s the view from our room looking south down the Strip toward Caesars and Bellagio.

Vegas is the America’s home for decadence!

Vegas is the America’s home for decadence! Where else are the streets loaded with people even when it’s 103&#176? That’s 3&#176 cooler than yesterday!

I had a light breakfast at the Roasted Bean. It’s a place to grab a quick overpriced coffee and muffin. The muffins used to be oversize to the point of embarrassment. Sadly, they’ve been shrunk.

Now for embarrassment the Mirage has added a Kardashian store! The sign says Kim will be here tomorrow. I might go with my camera to get a glimpse of the crowd. I expect it will be huge!

As long as I was nearby I walked outside to catch a glimpse of the pool. Lots of women in little bikinis. Most were appropriate. There were also some ‘what was she thinking’ moments.

When I was in my twenties Vegas was for older folks. No more. There are plenty of twenty somethings making themselves noticeable.

Back to the poker tables after breakfast. I won easily last night. Today I was card starved and slowly watched my money ooze away! Still up, but not nearly as much.

Still to come dinner with Helaine, Stef and Sam. At midnight Stef’s birthday celebration begins.

She’s come a long way from Mr. Huggy and his huggable puppets!
