Doppler Looks Runnerish

Back when the late Richie Ashburn called the Phillies games he’d sometimes look at a base runner and declare him “runnerish.”

We see that in Doppler too. She did some wind sprints up-and-down the hallway today. Yes, we encouraged her, but she looked runnerish!

  1. The little dogs do so love to run.

My bigger (22 pounds+) Tibetan Terrier gallops when he gets to a full run, and his luxuriously long fur blows straight back, the droopy ears fly out straight behind him–it’s beautiful poetry in motion.

  2. She is too cute!!! I just lost my little beagle to lymphoma yesterday and seeing Doppler’s happy face reminds me why I live dogs and why (someday) I’ll be a doggie mom again.

    1. Sorry for your loss. Get another dog soon. I’ve waited over 3 years, and I wish I had gotten another dog. Waiting doesn’t help.

    2. Sorry for your loss, last month we woke to find our springier spaniel pasted away in the night. we too plan on getting another dog before the end of the year. ( I hope).

    3. When your heart is ready, let me know. I can find you a soul to love. We also seek foster parents, as we are often so full. We pay for the food and vet care – if you provide the love.

  3. I think Doppler is ready for the Olympics! She is just so adorable! I love all the photos of her, but videos are really special! I’m glad it seems that the Kennel Cough is gone!

  4. This video just had me roaring! I watched it twice just to see those little legs in action!!! Runnerish for sure! 😀
PS: to LH615 above, I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you choose a rescue like Doppler when you’re ready to be a dog “Mom” again!

  5. Stop torturing the poor dog. I can tell he would do anything for you. Give him a rest or I’ll come to the station and make you run up and down the hall. LOL

  6. She is a sweetie! Thank you for sharing the video with us. To LH615: sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a special pet!

  7. Geoff, teach her hide go seek next… my Dobies love it, Bob keeps them busy in one room, and I go and hide… he says “Go find Mama” and they do… and they want to just keep playing! LH615, sorry to hear of your fur-child’s passing but don’t wait too long to be a dog-mom again… it truly helps when you take in another pet – been there, done that. I cried for weeks after I lost a Dobie in 2004.

  8. LH615,

Know just where you are coming from. Lost a beautiful, smart Tibetan Terrier a few years ago. It still makes me cry when I think of him. The other doggies in the house are their own ‘fur people’ not replacements for Quinn. My youngest daughter grew up with that doggie, and she still crys about him occasionally.

Most important thing is to remember the good times, try to avoid dewelling on the bad times, and continue to rescue dogs, and love them just as much. It’s hard when you lose a doggie, but there are many more of them out there that will give you all the unconditional love they are so capable of.

Gotta go, the folks in the office are starting to wonder why I’m weeping…

  9. Doppler “trail blazing”!  🙂

The joy this video brings is immeasurable! I cannot wait to share it with the shelter crew.

The life you have given her is the life we pray each abandoned soul is blessed with. They all are deserving. They all long for love.  They all just want their own people to love.

To see her now, after knowing her when … Is truly priceless. It’s obvious she is adored, happy and healthy. A real life Cinderella story.

When you post her, you help them all. For you allow folks to glean that pound pups are great pups that unfortunately had sorry starts.

I pray each day that all our furry, abandoned guests, and all those at countless shelters, find a home like Doppler has found.

I thank you Geoff and Helaine, for seeking a soul to rescue.  You are true ambassadors for the voiceless .. dropped, abused,  left, set free and forgotten.

You give visual, physical and written testimony to the fact that these wonderful hearts, wrapped up in fur, are good hearts, simply seeking love.

    God bless you!

    Blessings,

  11. Sent twice in error. :(. What’s the sense in being an idiot if you can’t share it with all? I posted it three times and the submit button didn’t show … So there may be one more lurking out there. :(.

To those that posted they lost their furchild, please know that love Never dies. It’s the one gift that can be taken and left.

From my experience the only thing you can do with all that love, is to pass it on to a soul in need. It makes the love blossom and live on. Love another, in their name, and accept the love they give. Love, love is
