Dear anonymous driver,
I don’t know you. I don’t know what you look like. I sense you were pissed.
I was heading south on Whitney Avenue toward the Wilbur Cross Parkway. The light at Dixwell Avenue turned green, but my car was in the left lane. No movement!
I looked for an opening to get to the curb lane. My right turn signal was on
There was a gap just before your car. That space was about to be mine. I thought there was plenty of room. You gave me the horn.
Did I misjudge the gap?
Once we passed the intersection you pulled into the left lane, sped parallel to me, then hit the horn again.
You showed me!
I know what you were thinking. Why is there never a cop around at a time like this?
Uh oh. There was.
I passed a few seconds after he turned on his lights and pulled you over. Did you get a ticket?
See, the horn does work.
Nice to know that the jackasses on the road sometimes get what they deserve!
Ha! That’s great!
This is just too funny! I hope you honked YOUR horn and waved as you drove by! LOL!
Ah, how the tides do turn. 🙂
Why can’t we all just… get…along?!!
Maybe she will learn a lesson about road rage, but I doubt it.
You didn’t clap as you went by, did you? lol… sorry – I don’t have much compassion for folks who do the horn thing all the time.
Love it! Reminds me of MY favorite pull-over. I was heading home on 84 going through E Hartford. A car merged onto the highway and I could tell at a glance that it was an unmarked cruiser. No big deal to me. But another car came up and started revving his engine like he wanted to race. Couple seconds later he guns the engine. As soon as he did the lights and siren came on and the cruiser went after him. Laughed all the way home. When I got there I took enough time to find the phone number of the Sate Police dispatch and told them to tell the officer that he made my night with that one.
I hope that wasn’t me, Geoff.
