Lazy Day

I’m not sure I can explain it, but today doesn’t feel like a typical SoCal day. It’s slightly more humid, though not overly so. It feels like the best days of summer feel back in the Northeast.

Stef and Helaine are at the outlets. It must be like probation. You have to check in on a regular basis.

The outlets are part of an intricate dance we’re playing this afternoon.

Stef wanted a backup drive for her laptop. She and I went to Frys. Helaine headed to Costco (closed).

If you’ve never been to Frys, think Michael’s or Sports Authority, but 95% computers and electronics. I’ve never been to a Frys that didn’t look like it would benefit from a thorough cleaning. The sales help seem knowledgeable.

My editing PC was put together piece-by-piece with components bought at Frys.

After 15-20 minutes Helaine joined us, handed me Doppler and headed off with Stef. Doppler and I headed home.

Now it’s me, Doppler and Roxie holding down the fort.

This entry is being typed from the patio. It’s warm, but comfortable. The girls are enjoying the cooler kitchen floor.

I’m not sure I can explain it, but today doesn’t feel like a typical SoCal day. It’s slightly more humid, though not overly so. It feels like the best days of summer feel back in the Northeast.

For that reason alone I will savor it. I have stuff I need to do, but I’m going to wait until this evening.

Back home in the Tri-State area was pretty nice this weekend…NYC/southern Connecticut hit mid 80’s and sunny skies, with only modest humidity. To tell you the truth, I’m really waiting for old fashioned sultry East Coast summer weather to make a real appearance. I live for those Caribbean style days when it’s 90 and the dew point is the same as Kingston, Jamaica – lol
