In My Mother’s Memory

For those interested in making a donation as a lasting memorial to my mom (Betty Fox), our family has designated the Alzheimer’s Association. We wish to support Alzheimer’s research.

We are all grateful for the outpouring of love from our friends and family. Last night I looked through all the names of those checking in via Facebook. Many names I don’t recognize. Some I know only from your Facebook posts whizzing by. Your warmth helps. There are lots of relatives and friends too. Many I’ve known since I was a little boy!

I got two condolence calls from people I had been feuding with. The feuds are over. This is your doing, mommy. You will never stop being my mommy.

  1. She will always be Mommy. My mom bought me a bracelet the summer before she died and it said, “love is patient! Love is kind, love NEVER ends.” it doesn’t.

  2. That is a beautiful tribute to your Mom….it truly left tears in my eyes.
    Condolences to you and yours.

  3. Dear Geoff and Trudi: My wife, Ellen and I would like to share our sympathy and condolences on your loss. I also remember, while growing up, Betty was like a second mom to me when my mom was ill.

  4. Losing a mother is painful, I lost mine 3 years ago. But I worked with you for three years once, and read your blogs regularly. I care about you guys, and now you can resume living your lives for yourselves, which I’m positive your loving mother wanted for you two. Best of times going forward, Geoff.
