Usually I work from home. Not so today. An equipment snafu at the station got me in the car for the drive to Palm Desert.
There was a problem. Helaine had plans. Who would watch Doppler?
I asked my boss if it was OK to bring her along. Doppler rode shotgun.
Maybe he should have said no? He was in the parking lot as we drove up and immediately picked Doppler up and held her. She peed all over his shirt! That’s a definite first.
The 6:00 PM news ended with a story about animals, so I grabbed her for my last weather. Here she is.
Just noticed that Doppler could be a relative to our two most recent rescues–both white, fuzzy male Maltese mixes that were wandering the street totally starved and matted…we grabbed them, and took them to the vet for checkout and to remove the horrid matted hair on the two of them That was 10 months and untold $$$ ago. Now they are healthy, happy pups that have managed to integrate well into our pack.
Now we need to find a forever home for the two of them together, since they are totally bonded–probably brothers from the same litter…
Rescues are so appreciative of their rescuers–Doppler really has bloomed since you rescued her…and her little surprise for your boss was probably because she didn’t know him that well! He’s hers now (grin)!
She might be the world’s best doggie.
