Popular Science Gets it Wrong

From the same people who brought you cities of flying cars, wrist video telephones and other badly conceived predictions of the future (OK – I’m ticked) comes Popular Science’s Worst Science Jobs II.

My job made it!

I’ll let you read the article for yourself, but let me just say, it’s absolutely wrong. It is difficult for me to think of a better job. The public – my customers – couldn’t be nicer.

Of course I’m not 100% correct. I wish I was. But, the accuracy I have allows people to make educated choices and avoid weather related problems. If you absolutely must get something done by Friday and I tell you there will probably be snow on Thursday, you have benefited.

If there was one thing I could change tomorrow, I’d wish we were better at snow accumulations. Then I’d wish my 8-day forecast was as accurate as my 2-day forecast. Right now, I’ll take what I can get and improve as quickly as I can.
