Taking In A Meeting In My Pajamas

“I’m probably the only one attending in pajamas,” I said as I checked in this afternoon.

I attended a webinar today. Is that the right term? I was a participant. Better?

Maybe you don’t know what a webinar is? Since my spellchecker doesn’t recognize it as a word it can’t be totally understood! A webinar is a meeting or demonstration presented online. When done right it’s a phenomenal idea.

“I’m probably the only one attending in pajamas,” I said as I checked in this afternoon.

This webinar was presented by the company that supplies our weather display equipment at work. It was a refresher course in using the hurricane functionality. I use this part of the machine all-the-time but there were definitely little features I’d forgotten, some I’d never known about and other little nuances which will allow me to present things in a different way.

I’m sure some of you do this all the time. Not me. But I get it.

Without the webinar I’d be heading to Madison, WI or someone from there would have come here or even worse, I’d have to learn by reading. This is a case where technology is really helpful–I got to watch as everything was demoed on the same screens I’d be seeing at work.

The airlines hate this, right?
