We have been very lucky with Roxie. She was mostly paper trained on arrival and has only gotten better with time. Paper training was important because she could not leave the house until she received a parvo inoculation. That happened this weekend.
Because her legs are short and her body is long Roxie can’t do stairs. We carried her to the driveway and then up the curb to the lawn.
She’s twelve weeks old but this was her first sniff of the real world around her. I’m not sure she knew what to make of it.
She put sticks in her mouth, then a leaf. The leaf must not have tasted good because it was quickly back on the ground. She sniffed at but had no interest in a mushroom growing courtesy of our excess rainfall.
We have had mixed results in her trips outside. Last night I waited with her only to have her wait too until she ran to the paper in our mud room.
Nothing happens quickly.
put the newspapers outside
We’re way ahead of you on that.
Yes, we’re keeping soiled newspapers in the hall closet!
