Flash forward a few hours. This is the scene on Central Park West around 7:00 AM. The sky was brightening, but there were still showery periods.
I was standing in an area on CPW which was taken over by TV stations. There had to be at least a dozen live shots going on, one next to the other.
It was sad to see the street wet and the sky gray. Things got better by parade time, but there was no assurance of that when I snapped this shot.
