Today was the day after the snow. Not as much as forecast, but still snow and everything that implies.
I picked up “Clicky” to snap a few shots. You never know. My dreams could be answered. This might be the last snow…forever. Get your shots while you can.
I have taken dozens and dozens of snow photos. If I like a shot it gets touched-up in Photoshop. That has forced me to look at snow very closely and in ways I’ve never seen it before.
Under a camera’s lens, blown up larger-than-life, snow begins to show features you don’t usually notice. Some leaves act as bowls holding as much snow as they can until their stems buckle under the weight. Others plants with needles instead of leaves trap the snow in a delicate balance easily upset by some breeze or even a little bump.
Here are a few examples of snow on vegetation from my front yard.
