Last night while my friend Steve and I were walking for coffee we came upon this interesting newspaper box for the New Haven Register. I don’t know the backstory. It’s obviously out of the ordinary.
Does it sell more papers?
Geoff Fox: My Permanent Record
Back when I was in school teachers would always scare me with stories of how my exploits would end up in my permanent record. I believe this is it! – Geoff Fox
I don’t know the backstory. It’s obviously out of the ordinary.
Geoff,
It’s part of a contest the Register is holding.
You can see all of the boxes here http://ctcentral.upickem.net/engine/Details.aspx?p=A&c=17091&s=3513186&i=1&m=X#SD
The one you saw is from the Southern CT Hebrew Academy.
Yes, I noticed the coin jam plunger was clipped.
Geoff-
The Register is running a promotion or contest of some sort. Local elementary schools have decorated the boxes and readers vote on their favorite. The winning school then gets a prize….I think? Something like that, anyway.
Good one, Geoff! 🙂
