Saw Letterman tonight, another great performance. The start seemed a little more subtle than some in the recent past, maybe because there were fewer musicians on the stage.
But once Darlene got rolling, it was magic. Her voice just never quits; seems to get stronger each year. Beautiful.

Geoff turned me on to Darlene Love’s annual appearance on Letterman about five years ago. I’ve looked forward to it ever since. This year it seemed rushed and as joe s noted above there seemed to be fewer musicians than in the past. Darlene was great as usual but the production just lacked the punch of prior years.
