First the good news. My mom, dad, sister and I are all together. That doesn’t happen often. We (along with my brother-in-law Jeff) got to spend time together and talk family stuff. That part of the trip went well.
The weather didn’t cooperate the way my family did!
It showered on-and-off through the late morning and early afternoon. Around 4:00 PM the heavens opened!
Maybe you think you’ve seen rain, but if you haven’t seen it in Florida on a day Mother Nature feels like showing off you haven’t seen rain. Between 5:00 and 6:00 Palm Beach International Airport saw 1.69″!
I fly home tomorrow. Hopefully not through this stuff.

Did Uncle Harold say something about his car getting cleaned?
We’re getting quite a thunder storm here on Lawn Guyland right now.
Wow! Geoff…! That’s a bit of a shower, huh? Your parents and sister look great. Give them my best. Hurry home. We need our weatherman fix!
Well looks like my sister (who also lives in Boynton) won’t have to water their flowers today! But it’s definitely not a day for walking the beaches.
Ahhh..the torrential downpours only us floridians can love! They cool us off after the scorching florida sun shines down on us most of the day…we welcome these rains…I too am from Ct. and I tell my fam and friends, u dont know what a rainstorm is til rainy season here in Fl. Great Video Geoff
Geoff – I’m in Port St Lucie – left CT 2 years ago – u guys in CT don’t know rain. There is no rain in CT like the rain down here!!! But I still love it here!
Typical Summer day down there. Ah the good old days 🙂
Hey Geoff, I have been spending 2 weeks every year for 30+ years in Boynton Beach !! Lovely place which normally gets little rain. But when it does….man, it REALLY comes down!
Tut Tut looks like rain.
It’s been so dry near PBI that my mom has given up on keeping the grass green and just let it turn brown. They need all the rain they can get now.
