I was looking for some entertainment while watching the Phillies – Mets game, so I went to Pokerstars. There was a $10 + $1 “pot limit” Hold’em tournament.
It was to be mindless, simple entertainment.
Within the first few hands I was dealt Ace King. It cost me a little to see the flop, but after a few cards it was obvious someone else was going to win. Two hands later, Ace King again! This time I got in deeper.
By the time the hand was done, I was busted, and for me the tournament was over. Of the 437 players, I came in 428th.
Point is, you can’t do this poorly without good cards! Isn’t that weird? If I would have been dealt 2-7 off suit I’d probably still be playing.
