Stefanie Is My Trophy Child

She speaks beautifully choosing her words wisely so there’s no doubt she’s smart. That’s a skill that cannot be faked.

I did some clothes shopping today. Stef came along lest I buy something uncool! She brought Roxie along as her own fashion accessory.

The shopping went well. She wishes I was a little less conservative. She understands why I am.

Since we were within a block of the station we parked in the lot and walked through the building on the way to the store then walked back through when we were done.

Maybe Stefanie doesn’t realize it, but she’s become my trophy child. Walking her through work is just an excuse for me to show her off.

This is not to say there aren’t moments when we scream at each other or I’d like to throw her out the window. C’mon, she’s my child.

Parents! Stuff like that’s understandable, right?

Yes, she’s pretty and dresses nicely, but I like how Stef deals with other adults more than anything. She’s confident. Her body language says that right away. She speaks beautifully choosing her words wisely so there’s no doubt she’s smart. That’s a skill that cannot be faked.

When someone asked about her upcoming move to California she said how we were thinking of driving but that one of us would surely end up missing!

Helaine says our biggest problem is we’re so much alike. You take the good with the bad.
