Another day another doctor. Guess who’s got an endocrinologist? She’s my diabetes specialist.
Of all my doctors she seems the most genuinely interested in the entirety of me. She’s physically diminutive and like so many folks in our area originally from Asia.
Her goal is to replace three of my daily insulin shots with one pill. I’ll be trying Invokana, heavily advertised on TV. It must be expensive.
As with everything else medical my situation is complex. The steroids I get before chemo are like kryptonite to a diabetic. I’ll be adjusting my dosage on-the-fly.
Next up Wednesday, chemo and the oncologist. It never ends (hopefully).
